We have been so thrilled with our son's experience at Hillsboro. HES has one class per grade level. That's about as close to a classical 'one-room school-house' as you can get in modern public school. Because it is small and intimate, Mr. Michener knows--and knows about--every child in the school. The PTA is dynamic, engaged, and contributes heavily to the grounds and equipment. Every teacher our son has had has taught him a tremendous amount, and helped him develop. The only draw-back I can think of is that the school is small, so if your child needs a wider array of services, th at may involve spending all or part of the school day at another school, or having rotational county resources at the school part-time.

A wonderful small public school with great teachers, a fabulous principle, and professional administrative staff. Moved to the area specifically for this school.
