I like the school, very big in size, staff is pretty friendly. Students need to focus more on having excellent behavior at all times but at this day and time I guess that is too much to expect from 12-14 year olds.

Elkhardt Middle School is an amazing Middle school in the inner city of Richmond VA that could definitely benefit from additional funding to ensure students have accurate supplies and learning aids. The teachers, staff and faculty at EMS are amazing and truly want to see their students succeed!

I am so unfortunate to have my daughters attend this school. I am highly displeased with the faculty, students, and principals behaviors. The students freely use of foul language along with the teachers is very shocking. I have made several attempts to speak with the principal who is always missing in action, and has yet to return any of my numerous phone calls shows me his lack of concern. I found the staff to be very un-professional, and un-organized. I feel awful knowing that I have trusted this school to oversee my daughters while I work. They have come to me with stories of things going on in the school, and I cant even get in touch with the proper authoritive figure to let him be aware of what is going on in his school. I regret moving to this area without seeking the low scores that this school has achieved.

The staff is very disrespectful and does not have control over their students.

I walked in to this school and thought i was in a playground, there were children everywhere no supervision, fighting, cursing and running throughout the halls. The teachers that were around were being disrespected by students. I do not think this is a safe enviornment.
