if you like dealing with rude staff then Thompson is the school for you. After Dr. Thomas Beatty left it's gone to you know where in a handbasket. The 'ladies' at the front desk size you up and have never learned simple basic manners. This is where the taxpayers money is being wasted.

This is a great middle school and I love the fact that the principal has an open door policy for parents as well as students. Excellent teachers and guidance counselors. However, more parent participation is greatly needed.

The school has been steadily improving over the past 3 years and has won awards REB and had a recipient of the Teacher of the year Milliken award for 2007. Academically, the school is right on point with well qualified teachers who challenge the students to excel.
