After going to public school for 2 years and then transferring in for the last 2 years of high school, I was finally able to see what a real high school looks like. Trinity is more than just a school: it's a community that many consider to be similar to a college campus. Trinity allowed me to get a full athletic scholarship to play basketball at one of the top academic institutions in the country. I currently have family teaching there now, and the ideals have not changed at all.
Trinity has been a great school since its inception. Outstanding teachers, terrific education.
Both of our daughters attended Trinity 9th-12th grades and went on to University of Virginia. Their success at UVA is certainly due to the challenging academic program at Trinity and, equally, the opportunities to participate in sports and student government. Additionally, I know of no other school where students are more kind to each other and where the honor system really works. One of my favorite memories is seeing hundreds of back-packs thrown down in front of the Fine Arts Center, while the students are having Morning Meeting with Dr. Aycock. A true sense of community, trust, and respect. We could not design a better school for our daughters.
Trinity's IB and AP programs are frequently regarded as the best in the area. The students here perform very well in college and are great student athletes and leaders. Unlike other area preps, the students and parents are down-to-earth and very friendly. Trinity's math and science programs are highly competitive and extremely well-respected.
Our daughter went here for the entire five years and it is without a doubt one of the finest schools in our area. The teachers as well as the office staff was always there on top of things and very much involved with each student. they were very caring to each and every student. They also treated each student as a person instead of just a number or name. She graduated with 14 credits and is a semester ahead in college. I can't say enough about them.
