I am shocked at the other reviews that state VCA's administration should be replaced! I have 4 children (out of 5) at VCA- a K4, 1st grade, 8th grade and a 10th grader. So I have experience for just about every grade. They have all been here since K3 or K4. The teachers and administration has an "open door" policy. They have addressed all of my concerns (which have been very few) and have handled them in a manner of Godly character. My children have thrived here-they have read and written in cursive in K3. The sports programs for my older two have helped them grow not only physically strong, but spiritually as well. Each of the teachers is attentive to the child's spiritual and academic needs-I am certainly pleased with the academics, care, nurturing and guide to success they have been given here. I do have one child at another Elementary school due to learning challenges, that VCA couldn't address-that isn't necessarily a bad-He just couldn't keep up with Abeka, which is a challenging curriculum. If you are looking for a well rounded, loving, CHRIST centered environment-Look no further, you have found a home here.

Victory Christian Academy partners with our family to empower our children to become successful adults. The privilege to have our children attend VCA has enhanced their opportunity to become talented individuals with a love of life-long learning. The faculty and staff at VCA sincerely care about the proper development of our children. The VCA teachers inspire our children to grow spiritually and they challenge the students to submit their best effort toward their academic success. They give our children the chance to learn the benefits of leadership and to realize the blessings of servant hood. The diverse student body creates an atmosphere for our children to discover new concepts and to respect cultural traditions. The small class size enables the students to work together with classmates to learn the advantages of accomplishing goals as a team. The facilities are top-notch and the communication with parents is superb. Our partnership with VCA has totally fulfilled our expectations of an outstanding educational experience for our children. I encourage your family to visit the VCA campus and observe for yourself the excellence of this ministry.

VERY very happy with VCA! Excellent place for your child to feel welcomed. Classrooms have a terrific & relaxed learning atmosphere. I was AMAZED at how my 7 year old son liked going to school & at the rate he was learning things. He now reads & writes (in cursive!) so beautifully !! VCA is also very affordable! I was paying more for daycare than what it is costing us to get a private christian education is at VCA. Very clean school too. (which is impressive from what I have seen with other schools). The facilities are very nice. - VCA has 2 gymnasiums, a computer lab that ALL elementary students use, a new security system, & even an elementary sports program. I can picture my son attending here through HS too. The HS as a terrific sports program (Basketball, volleyball & even football / cheerleading - VCA even has a weight room that is available to its families) The teachers are VERY qualified (many have masters degrees in what they are teaching). I highly recommend VCA as a school (or daycare - as they have a K3 & K4 program too) You can not go wrong with this school - the hidden gem of Richmond Private schools! Nothing says AWESOME like repeat business, and I have fully enjoyed this school and it's administration to the point of having enrolled all 3 of my children. I cannot say enough about the efforts the teachers make to ensure EACH child learns and masters their grade level. Because the teachers stick to one curriculum, the continuity of education is remarkable and its excellence is proven with their yearly national testing. My 5 star rating is clearly MY opinion and with any school, public OR private, there is always someone who gets their feathers ruffled and finds fault. If you want a school that is genuinely interested in your child being successful and prepared for college, look no further. This is the hidden gem of Richmond Private Schools.

Im not sure what to think of this school. My son LOVES it, but he does not like change. I must say he has learned a lot. He reads better than his cousin who is 2 grades higher. I feel this is because of ABeka books, not the teachers. The administration needs to be replaced, mainly because they are rude, and seem to only care about thier children. As another writter said administration is not open to suggestions, or change. I cant even say it goes in one ear and out the other, because they are quick to shut you down when they fell as if you are saying something they will not like. Also there is no fun learning. Teachers will not go outside of ABeka books. In addition, most of the teachers there do not have degrees in education. I don't even think they send teachers to Pencicola, the head quaters of ABeka Books.

I am rating this school 1 out of 5 stars because, out of all the school experiences we've had, this one ranks at the very bottom. Since the original principal left about 5 years ago, VCA has been on a slow moral decline. Our family has experienced far greater results from the public schools in the area. We have also witnessed disturbing behavior from the school leadership and the church leadership from Faith Landmarks Ministries. They tend to get very defensive in situations where they feel like they are being challenged. Suggestions from parents and teachers go through one ear and right out the other. Consequently, there is a very high turnaround ratio with the teachers and the students. While my kids did receive a decent education there from a couple of the teachers at VCA, the psychological risks that go along with that type of atmosphere were simply not worth it to us.

All three of my children have graduated from VCA and it was the best experience. My youngest was a VCA from K4-12th. They have all been well prepared academicly and spiritually for their futures!
