The level of parental involvement really makes this school amazing. The after school programs offer a good deal of balance and diversity for those who choose to participate. In some grades, when possible, they try to offer weekly language lessons. Every year there is either a talent show or musical, which many kids are involved in. The school is small enough to have a good community feel. Testing is far too much of an emphasis, though this improved some during 2007-08. Homework in lower grades seems excessive, and often does not advance learning, but is merely 'busy work.' Also, option for enrichment for gifted students in lower grades are pretty limited.
