Rural Retreat High School

Rural Retreat High School is the best school for kids. The teachers actually know all of the students in they're classes ad have a one-on-one relationship with them. The teachers make sure that all of the students know what they are doing. The athletics are good, but the academics are even better. We have little violence and when there is it is very minimal and usually has to do with a girl. I love this school and would recommend it to anyone who wants a great education and a strong bond with both students and faculty.

This school is fantastic! It has a strong sense of community among the students as well as the faculty and staff. The small-school atmosphere allows the students to receive all the faculty attention they need to succeed.

i love this school with all my heart. Everyone that goes to this school including teachers, students, parents, etc. are the best. The friends that i have here are the best things that has ever happened to me. This school is wonderful and so is the athletics (well some of the athletics). The teachers are wonderful. It is very easy to make friends here all you have to do is be yourself. =) Go Indians! i love you guys.

Rural Retreat High School was the first school in Wythe County to become accredited after 'Standards of Learning' testing was complete. Rural Retreat has the strongest wrestling program this year and is ranked #1 in state. The football and girls basketball programs are also strong and receive a lot of support from the community.
