Excellent Teachers, Strong Leadership, Challenging Academic Programs, Practically every extra-ciricular activity know to mankind, Excellent Athletics Programs and Significant support internally as well as externally. The day for these children starts at 7:20 and on many many occasions, goes well into the night with activities or sports. As a parent,my Sophmore student is being recruited by major colleges including Ivy. Thank you to everyone engaged in the educational processes in Stafford County Virginia, your dedication and commitment is special.
I went to Forge for all 4 years of high school and absolutely loved the school. I thought that the teachers were great and always willing to help either before or after school. The extracurriculars were wonderful, I got the opportunity to go to Nashville and Orlando for academic competitions. In my opinion Forge is the best high school in the district. I still have two brothers that go to school there and they love it as well. Whenever I come home from college I go back and visit the school and the teachers genuinely seem interested in how I'm doing. Great school!
Colonial Forge High prepares students for college and prepares them for employment. I am very happy with the Commonwealth Governor's School program.
Awesome school...have had two kids go there and both did very well. One currently a Freshman at The College of William and Mary and the other a junior at Forge. CFHS is tough especially at the AP levels, but great prep for top end colleges.
I am very unhappy with the grading system, and the teachers aren't very helpful, except a select few. The only positive thing about this school is the Extracurricular activities. I do enjoy the drama program. I dislike most of my teachers, they are very crude and make obscene jokes. They pick on the children, and they make them feel worse about themselves. Although, I haven't particularly felt offended by any teachers, I have been offended by the way they act toward others. The office staff takes a really long time to answer requests, despite the fact that the staff is more than large enough to help students and parents needs.
Its the most intellectual challenging school in the area because it emphazises how important academics is in life. Evidence of this statement include alumnis being accepted into great schools such as V-Tech, Texas State, Flordia State, military academies, etc. If I had to choose from any school in this area, it would definitely be this one.
I personally was greatly appreciative of the staff and administration at CFHS. My children were extremely different in their learning styles, and both were met and challenged. The school extra ciricular activities were one of the greatest things for my youngest daughter. Ms. Renard (the greatest thing that could ever happen to any student) made each and every child she encountered feel academically gifted. She has continued communication with most of the students that I know, and continues to encourage them both socially and academically.
There's is no better school in the region.
As a former student, I enjoyed every moment of my High School experience. The classes and teachers push the students to succeed in every aspect. The transition to college was quite easy for me because I was prepared. The extracurricular activities are also AMAZING! There are so many options to choose from. I ran cross country and track, was in NHS and Spanish club. I did not even scratch the surface of what I could have joined. The band is always topped ranked and so are a few of the sports teams. Parent involvement is also great. The schools hold many informative sessions for parents to ask questions and make comments. The teachers are also available for parents to call them. Overall, Colonial Forge gets an A++ and is the best high school in Stafford. GO EAGLES!!!!
I currently attend Colonial Forge, and I'd have to disagree with the last comment.Yes, people do come from different middle schools but there are plenty of opportunities to make friends, Colonial Forge has a great selection of after school activities, and if there is a ride problem you can wait for the activity bus. The teachers are great if there isn't enough class time to understand the subject most of them offer after school tutoring or their email address if students have questions. About the students being rude and not well behaved, that's only a small group of students, since CFHS is one of the most strict schools in Stafford county those student usually get the max. punishment for the crime. One negative thing about CFHS is that the teachers don't really give alternatives for supplies for projects if you can't afford them, mostly because that's not a problem for most.
