Our three month old goes here. He loves to start his day by a hug from Ms. Denisha and Ms. Nylka cares for him in the second half of his day. My husband and I love how the staff helps our son progress through different growth leaps. We are looking forward to a continuous journey with this practice.

We switched to this Chesterbrook Academy (from an unrelated school) in March and it was the best decision we ever made! The level of education is second to none and the caring, nurturing environment that our kids learn in is just as amazing! The teachers and the principals are fantastic and truly take an interest in each family. It is so refreshing to walk into a school that is calm and not feel like you're walking into a chaotic romper room. Our kids have thrived in their new environment; they are learning so much and they are having fun with learning! CBA isn't a daycare, it is truly a school where kids learn and grow, including social aspects of what is right and wrong. It takes a village to raise children and we couldn't be happier to be part of the CBA family. Our only regret is that we didn't make the switch to CBA earlier!

We have been sending our kids here for the past 5 years because of the wonderful teachers/staff, great curriculum and incredible principal. This Chesterbrook doesn't just offer a loving, save environment kids (which it does!), but also one that helps kids discover and learn through play and, once in Pre-K, touches on the common core to help prepare kids for kindergarten. In addition to academics, the kids also get exposed to the world around them, helping them to understand (and appreciate!) different cultures/ethnicities so that become better citizens of the world. Love this school and would recommend it to anyone seeking a loving, challenging and fun environment for their children.

My daughter moved to this school last summer. She made an immediate connection with her teachers and she loves going to school. She is in preschool this year and she is learning so much. I'm confident that she will be ready for kindergarten next year. I actually feel that she will be ahead of the public school curriculum. I plan to enroll her in the kindergarten program at Chesterbrook. Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Lauren are very personable and visible everyday I am there. They know the students and are very aware if what is going on. I highly recommend this school!

The school is a great place for my child during the school year and during the summer. My child has a blast everyday and it is all he talks about. Ms. Soto and Coach Curt are very helpful and easily approachable if there is a problem. I would highly recommend this school to others and look forward to more years here.

This was our first year at Chesterbrook Academy in Sterling Virginia and all that I can say is nothing but wonderful things. I was very nervous about my daughter going to kindergarten because I didn't know what to expect, but when we enrolled here I had nothing to worry about. Ms. Soto truley cares about each child, family and more importantly education. She helped me and my family throught the entire year. I loved the fact that I could drop her off early and pick her up late. I liked that parents could be involved in the classroom and attend field trips. My teacher had Ms. Lotho. Ms. Lotho is a wonderful tecaher who helped my child. T reccommended this school to everyone.

My daughter has attended CB in Sterling for 3 years, shes now 4. I read some of the unfavorable reviews and take complete offense! The principle at CB, Lauren Cavuoto, has been in place since my child started and she is OUTSTANDING. Additionally; the majority of primary teachers have also been in place. The way the school transitions students from one level to another is wonderful; kids interact with all teachers early on to build relationships before transition. Academically, I feel children in my daughters class are far beyond the average comprehension/development of other 4 yro not attending CB. They care tremendously about our kids which is perhaps the most important thing, isn't it? Family's do not come and go, my daughter has been in class with mostly the same children since she was 1, these kids have formed an excellent bond of friendship and so have us parents! We know each others children and even participate in activities together outside of school. Its a great community! The cons- CB is pricy when compared to other schools who may have better features i.e language classes, play ground facilities and being able to watch your children on video while at work.

I think the shcool (the one in Sterling) has a very strong curriculum and it has helped my daughter of 5 y/0 grow tremendously. They give lots of homework and a test every Friday but it has worked wonders! My daughter loves this shcool so much. She reads and writes much better than before, and can solve farious mathematical questions without problems. Teh teachers are great and very helpful. They are strict too but it's needed for Kidnergarten, of course, to teach discipline.

We have been attending for now 2 years and will be reenrolling next year. We are truely happy here and couldn't imagine any better school than this one. Ms. Soto is winderful principal who cares for everyone there. The teachers are very friendly and are willing to work one on one with the kids. I love that they are open early and late since I have a busy worl schedule. My child is above grade level and enjoys every minute of school. We attend all school fundraisers. They are very fun to attend and helps you get to to know others there. This is a school your child needs to go to.

I absolutely LOVE this pre school, from the principal on down to the teachers. I had my 1st daughter at an in home day care until she was 2, then had her attend a different pre school and was unhappy with the constant transition of teachers. When I found this school I was excited from the moment I walked in the door. Mothers intuition kicked in immediately, this was the place for not only my child but for me as a parent. As an over protective mother I needed a school that would take care of my child but also deal with me calling, stopping by and all of my questions. This was the place and still is 2 1/2 years later. My daughter has now graduated to elementary school and my 2nd born is attending the pre-school. She is in the infant room and is very well taken care of. She comes home clean, happy and is very well socialized. She has hit, if not surpassed all of the Infant Milestones she's supposed to. She smiles every single day when I drop her off and reaches for her teachers. When I think about the other schools I have visited this school by far has everything I am looking for - loving and caring environment, very clean, good size classrooms, and great communication!

I LOVE this school. My children have been going there for 6 years and have been very happy there. The Principal is the best. She takes time to know each student and their families. The teachers are caring and provide individual attention when needed. I love the low ratios. The entire school goes above and beyond with their students and families. This is a great school. Worth every penny.

My son has been going to the Preschool for 2 years. It is AMAZING how much he has learned. I love the teachers and the Principal(who recently left to go to another Chesterbrook). My son will be transferring over to the Elementary school in September.

Used to be very good, not anymore, after new principle came and changed everything. Large staff turnover. Don't trust the administration. The infant room is small and no place to play or crawl around. They just line up babies on the floor to sleep. Too bad, used to be a great place, but morale is bad. Not going here anymore.

Clearly staff are trying to improve the reputation of this school in these reviews. The school is very weak academically and bad teachers thrive here. Before you choose this school ask careful questions about how many families leave during the year. How many familes return to this school? You are not likely to get honest answers. Be careful in choosing this place. Kids can get away with anything here. The ones who been at this school forever are the worst.

I have read about issues at the Cascades CBA, but not the Sterling location. My one year old daughter has been attending CBA in Sterling for a few months now and I couldn't be happier with the staff and facility. Her teacher has a college degree and has been with CBA Sterling for several years. I visit my child everyday on my lunchbreak and I have never seen anything negative there. Her teacher is an angel and works with me to make sure my daughter's needs are met. Everytime I go there, my child has been fed, diapered, happy, and very well cared for. All of the staff greet me when I come in and are very kind. CBA Sterling is a wonderful facility and works very hard to keep the children and staff happy. The CBA principal and assistant principal have both worked with me to address my daughter's stranger anxiety issue. Everyone who interacts with my child there is always providing me with feedback on how she is doing with the other children in addition to her physical, emotional, and intellectual development. At the time of this writing, the school is very full in the infant, toddler and young child classes. They wouldn't be at such a full capacity if they weren't the BEST!!!

Principal and teachers Not qualified at all. This school is really bad in all aspects. Unprofessional teachers and principal. They only care about money. I had my son there this year. I am not thinking at all about taking him back there. Kids are allowed to do whatever they want. The teachers are not qualified. And even the principal. When I tried to raise the issue that my son hasn't been learing much all the year. She didn't care at all. Please do not take your kids there.

I had my child in their infant class. Teachers and principal are great but the only thing I was concerned about was the floor was not clean enough although they have many crawlers. The tution is higher compared to other day cares but does not offer education / educational activities to the infants very much. I have expected a little more structured program for infants since the school name says "academy" but just a baby sitting school, in that sense. So I have transferred my child to a montessori school for her better education.
