The school is fully accredited and has a very safe and caring environment. Classroom expectations are high and teachers have a caring attitude.

The principals at this school do not back their teachers. Just as the board does not back them principals. The students are beyond control and the administration needs to step up and take the school back over. The school will never receive its accreditation if the administration continues to allow the students to work below standards and makes excuses for them. Discipline is the main issue and the scores will not come up before a school wide discipline policy is agreed on.

I went to Sussex for awhile. I switched there from a private school and i loved it. The teachers were doing a good job and i learned alot. I never felt like i was in danger or anything. I loved it and i think other students would if they gave it a chance

This school is in dire need of re-organization, and re-structuring. Education has taken backstage to local politics. True parent involvement is not welcomed. Seasoned administrators are manipulative and fearful of change and growth. There are some bad teachers, however there are more good teachers than bad, they just need to be given the opportunity to teach our children and that cannot happen if parents don't come forward and demand better for their children.

As a parent you have to supplement your child's education at this school. Their education is almost non existent. Even if the teachers were teaching, the students that want to learn cannot, because of the constant disruptions and the noisiness.

this school is pitiful, we dont learn anything I sit in class and get my hair done. The principal doesn't listen to anyone, he takes sides. We dont have any money for advancements. The school needs to be shut down. we have roaches too.
