In my opinion, John B. Dey is the best elementary school in Virginia Beach due to the administration, teachers, and incredibly active PTA. Whether you child is gifted or struggling, you will be especially pleased with the proactive administration and specialty teachers which give your child very important individual attention. We have been very happy and have 2 children in the gifted cluster program.

Great activities, mostly dedicated teachers, great principal involvement. The PTA is over the top in involvement. Clean and well organized. Definately one of the most highly respected elementaries (by word of mouth).

John B Dey strives for excellence in offerings to the students and families through the involved teachers and active PTA programs. There are many offerings by both PTA And staff to encourage growth for a well rounded student. There are several reading , science ,math, and physical education programs to supplement the normal curriculum. There are monthly family activities to encourage family fun involvement. There is plenty of opportunity for all children be nurtured and have successes in their early childhood.

There are not enough good things to say about John B. Dey and its staff. An education that is on par with private schools, great teachers, lots of parent involvement and plenty of fun in a learning environment. Thank you JDB!!
