What preschool do you think is great in Virginia Beach? Why?

Virginia Beach Friends School. The outstanding faculty nurtures the best in the students in a supportive, cooperative community. My children love going to school every day and they get to be surrounded by so many wonderful teachers, staff and students that it makes me smile. The small class size which allows the teacher to be flexible and tailor the learning needs to the children. . This is a school which truly nurtures the whole child; strong academics, fine arts, physical, and spiritual development. 82380

We absolutely LOVED Sunnybrook Day School. The staff is phenomonal!! They have a great curriculum, field trips, play area and a building where you know your kids will be safe. My seven year-old and 12 year old both still talk fondly of their time there!! I give it highest regards for making their first school experiences happy memories! They always have their work posted in a great way and the school is immaculate!! You will not find a better place. The one regret I have is that they only go up to kindergarten, and not at least 3rd grade. The activities they have there are wonderful. I know it sounds crazy, but after chaperoning many field trips there, it was said many times that they were exceptionlly well behaved. I personally also observed it as well. The boundaries are appropriately set and enforced in a way that the children don't even seem to realize that they are following them!!14519

My daughter attends Rollingwood Academy and it's one of the best preschools in Hampton Roads! She's very happy there, the teachers and staff are warm and caring, and she regularly suprises me with how much she is learning. I wish we could afford to send her their next year. Next year she will be attending Sunnybrook Day School. I was very impressed when I toured the school, It's bright, neat and clean, and art projects are found all over the walls. I was told that the teachers have at least 5 years of experience and some have been teaching for over 25 years. I'm very excited and hopefull that her experiences at Sunnybrook will be as wonderful as they have been at Rollingwood.14520

Montessori Acadamy of Virginia, located by Mt. Trashmore. The methods they use let children master skills while having fun and they learn to lead other students. My daughter went there for two years and has excelled since in public school. http://montessoriva.com/14521
