This is a wonderful high-school with a fabulous principal. It is a pleasure to have a principal who was a teacher for decades, rather than a bureaucrat. She respects the students, is willing to listen to their concerns and ideas and, when she has to disagree, she explains her decisions. She seems to be there morning, noon and night, and is always accessible. Yes, there are a few teachers to be avoided, but that is true anywhere. I have seen no 'safety and discipline' crises suggested in one of the reviews. Indeed, from what I have heard, the school has greatly improved since the transfer and/or graduation of a certain troublemaking group. We are very happy with the caliber of teaching and course offerings and extracurricular activities.

The school environment at LHS has definitely deteriorated in the past two years. Discipline and safetly issues have worsened and the overall atmosphere is not very conducive towards academic achievement. Merely attempting to contain the'negative' elements during the school day is not where the focus should be in classrooms.

This school does offer a variety of classes but i am unhappy with the administration adn many of the teachers. there are some really good teachers but many dont do very much and i feel that their classes are a waste of time. my biggest complaint though is the administration that has made many unfair and anti-student descsions after Jeff Tremain left.

This is an excellent school with many AP classes and teachers that seem like college level professors (with a few exceptions.) There is a ton of homework but the kids are getting top notch education. There is a very high level of parent involvement.
