This is my sons 2nd year at WMS. There is a new principal and he is working so hard to help the Middle school grow and improve (not just the teachers and staff, but the kids). As in all schools, it is not perfect but it is on it's way. My son is doing great in the Middle school and I would not send him anywhere else.

Paul, Do you work for IWCS? The reason I ask is because you are the only person that I have ever heard say anything good about WMS. I have talked to many parents, former students and staff of WMS and none of them have had any postive comments about this school. I too have an ADHD child at WMS. However, I have not had the postive experience that you seem to be having. My child is a good kid who also has been suspended. The administration and staff do not understand ADHD or how to handle a student who has ADHD. They really need some training in this area, as well as how to write and follow 504 and IDEA plans.

As the parent of two Attention Defficit Disorder Kids both at Windsor Middle School, I believe the Administrators and Staff are all excellent. Always willing to work with the parents and kids to work through and resolve problems. The administrators do an excellent job in trying to keep ALL the kids in the school on track, sometimes by giving a severe punishment to an otherwise good kid (sometimes one big one keeps the trouble makers from influencing our kids). I can whole heartedly give them an excellent rating even though my kids are not the best behaved and have been suspended and worse through the years. I still believe the staff is excellent, and they have my full support in dealing with my kids. Paul Bliefernich, Father

Poor administration Suspends students that have never been in trouble before for minor things.

My son is now in the eighth grade and loves WMS. The teachers have always let me know if there is any problem and have been more then willing to work with my son to solve them. While the building is older I think the county has done a wonderful job with upkeep.

My name is Ken Griffin and it is 2005 and WMS is a great school, can be a little boring though. But we learn, music just music class. Just an art class and of course we have JV sports.

I'm a parent to 11yr. old MR child. I feel it very important to recognize these children even more so than the others at award ceremonies and graduations, because they have to work twice as hard and appreciate just as much. They don't deserve to go unnoticed. Thank you.

The county has done a nice job at updating the inside look of the school. The six grade teachers seem to be right on target and energize the students. The guidance department has been helpful and parent friendly. Seventh - Eighth grade teachers seem to have less control of student population and some teachers are known for verbal abuse. It is difficult at the upper grade levels as a parent to be involved. Some teachers appear to want to focus on the student handling issues. It would be a great added feature to have tutors available after school as well as an activity bus to take them home.
