We sent our three sons to the Woodberry Forest School and it was the best investment we ever made. In addition to receiving a superb education they were immersed in an environment that emphasized honor, integrity and service. The campus is magnificent and the facilities are unparalleled. My only regret is that I didn't have the opportunity to attend Woodberry. The school has a significant endowment and tuition assistance is available.

This school has helped me grow as an academic student, a creative mind, and a healthy athlete. Woodberry focusses strongly on the power of service with their strong community service requirement. Woodberry has road strong athletically for years but it is clearly not the main issue there. Academics will always be the first priority and the level of difficulty is hard for me to keep up sometimes but the teachers are always there to help you. The art department is strong as well. Its plays are first class and the sets impressive. I personally love it.

The best thing we could have done for our son. He told us he was not challenged at his public school and decided Woodberry was the right place for him. It could not have been a better experience. Woodberry is very attentive to the student and responsive to the parents. There are no cracks to fall through. From the friends he made to the outstanding teachers to the almost idyllic setting, Woodberry provided the perfect environment for him to grow and develop into a well-rounded confident young man. He was able to expand his horizons and participate in activities not possible at a day school. Now at one of the leading universities in this country, he claims Woodberry prepared him very well for what he is facing. We cannot imagine a better place!

Woodberry is a serious education and high activity residence school for the well-behaved male student. Simply, the experience of Woodberry is a lifetime of advantage.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
