The teacher and principle quality should be at 100% and far greater than parents participation or their being involved. In this day an age a lot of parents just do not give a care about their children's education.. Therefore, the staff (teachers and principle) need to step up and provide the children with a quality education by any means necessary. Go back to basics when teachers were teachers and not equals with students. Dress appropriately so that children will no that you are a teacher not their buddy in wearing torn geans and too tight clothing. How can children learn when teachers are busy with the dress fad of today. Takoma should and can be one of the best, if the teachers and principle can get it together. Put the blame where it should be. Children leave home for school and this is where education begins and ends.

I am a student who goes to Takoma Eductaional Center i am in the 7th going to 8th grade. Takoma does not have any art programs for middle school. The building structure is falling apart. When it rains it pours...literally. We have all types of mice, cockroaches, and other bugs i have had the misfortunate to encounter while I have been at this school. We are lacking a real gym teacher...its really Disheartening!

I am a former student of Takoma and I would like to say the experience was exhilarating. While there, the staff makes you feel like family. The principal always expressed her love for the children and staff. It was like my second family. The teachers are great. Its kind of like everyone is your frind. You even become close to the security guards and custodians. It is a rather fun-learning and refreshing school to attend. If you are looking for a school for your child look no further. They also have great after school programs for those hard-working parents. They look out for everyone and have an overwhelming presence of parent volunteers. So look no further for a school for your child because this is the one!

Takoma Educational Center is a great school. This school provides high standard education and fun learning. The principal knows how to keep the kids and check and she also keeps her school on a top scale of education, learning, and fun.

This school has great potential but the principal has no personal concerns for the kids (students) and she doenst even respect the parents. My son has beenremoved from this school along with more than 10 of his peers that I know.
