My son has been attending St. Thomas More Catholic Academy as it is now called since the 2nd grade and he is now in the 5th grade. I have been extremely satisfied with the school, teachers, principle and the curriculum. The teachers are just excellent. They are extremely dedicated to ensuring our kids receive the best education possible. They go above and beyond what is asked of them and they make learning fun and challenging so that the kids want to come to school and they want to learn. My son enjoys attending the school and has such a passion for learning and excelling in school. He set a goal at the start of the school year to get perfect attendance and straight A's and he has accomplished his goals. I am very proud of him and proud to be a part of the STM family.

I have to agree with the last review. I have three children that attend that school and they all get treated iffernetly. The lady principal caters only to home assocation parent children. Alot of the parents took there child out the school so that should tell you somethin. I would not recommend either.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Rating legend
Below

Average
Above
average

Our rating (from 1 to 10) reflects a school's overall performance. The higher the rating, the more likely the school will prepare your child for the future, so choose an above-average school (8-10) if possible. For average schools (4-7), do careful research and look for evidence that the school has high-quality programs. For below-average schools (1-3), take caution; a low-performing school may not provide the instruction or environment your child needs to learn, and you may need to supplement classroom lessons at home.

Academic rating

The academic rating is made up of equally-weighted parts: students' test scores, their academic growth and their readiness for college (for high schools). Unfortunately, this school doesn't have sufficient data to generate an academic rating.

Climate ratings

Starting in fall 2013, we plan to release a climate rating as part of this school's overall GreatSchools Rating. The climate rating will be based on survey data about various aspects of this school's climate, such as safety, cleanliness, expectations for students, parent involvement, and more.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
