I have a child who has been attending River Terrace for four years now. I have been satisfied at the quality of education and programs offered. There have been a lot of fun and educational events for the students and parents. Much of the staff is hard-working but there have been communication problems among staff members and with parents. I personally have not had a problem with any of the staff but many parents have complained about issues and have removed their kids from the school. Although the school has been here for decades, it feels like it is still a work in progress. Sadly, since this is the school's final year, it appears that they won't have the opportunity to make any more attempts at progress.
Some of the teachers dont seem to be quite qualified to teach students. There is no communication between teachers reaching out to the parent regarding their child(or) children on iforming of students class behavior, not completing class assign., as well as homework assignments. Those concerns should not be discussed only on teachers and parents day but before that when there is a costistent pattern noticed by the parent. The parent should not found out those important matters only when she reaches out to the parent or on teacher/parent night. The parent needs to be notified immediantly so that she may be given the opportunity to correct the situation.
