I enrolled my son because I heard it was a good school. And my experience with the teachers and staff has been exceptional. Ireceive daily emails of my sons behavior and work ethic from ALL of his teachers. The downside is you don't get proper notification of trips, closings or half- days. Other than that it is an awesome school. My son enjoys being there and is excited to attend next year.
I love my school IDEA PCS. For the most part the school is excellent, has an excellent curriculum with rigorous work for the students. The school standing alone is good, it's just that some of the students make it look bad by refusing to do their work even if they get suspended or failed because I encountered a lot of students who had stayed back in school and noticed the reason they stayed back. The only negative review I have about the school is that they have too many rules.
I love IDEA PCS because of it's dedication to the students as well as the community involvement. I am also impressed with their Computer Repair Program that will afford interested students in obtaining certifications in A+, Networking and Cisco.
My Son failed miserably in this school. great promises to get your kid in the door and then they drop the ball. Fake promotinal pictures and advertisiement. Nothing current. Most discernig-I never saw the Principle of the school, never at a PTA meeting, never at any functions, never available upon request, never walking in the hall, never in her office-who is she?? The office staff has a kind of deer in the headlight look when you walk in the office-they never greet you and say may I help you. They are quick to tell you to have a seat in the "parent Center" and often forget you are there. The leadership caters to the Gang activity rather that gang prevention. Dress Code is Lax. Great Teachers for the most part.
I am a parent of two students attending IDEA and one eldest son whom which graudated a few years ago. My eldest son excelled and went on to jion the Navy. My two younger son are in the Junior Acad. and in High School. I love the school and the communition. The staff are very reliable . IDEA turn boys into Men, responsible men.
My son attends this school and have attended this school for 3 years. He is now a Junior. The teachers keep you informed on your child's progress. The academic programs are awesome! My son is taking courses at this school that are actually preparing him for college should he decide to attend college. He's also taken classes that will prepare him for the workforce if he doesn't decide to attend college. I know that if my son had not attended this school, he would not have been properly prepared for the real world except under my guidance. I applaud IDEA. I am very greatful for all of the teachers being so committed to the students. Thanks IDEA
