i absolutely love this school. My children have attended MDS for the past two years. Everyone from the Principal, teaching and support staff are involved in the success and support of your children! And what's just as important, our children look forward to attending school each day. They even love attending MDS's summer enrichment camp. The only issue is figuring out where they are going to go once they've completed the 5th grade! Keep up the great work MDS!

I love this school and all the staff. My son has learned so much and they continue to challenge him daily. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for good quality teaching and curriculum. The entire staff there is awesome. They really make you feel like they care. You get the whole package at MDS.

I highly recommend MDS to any parent! The school is very supportive to all students and all of the staff and teachers are pleasant and professional. They create a family atmosphere which allows children to excel. My son has been there for two years (K and 1st grade), and although we have considered puling him out to attend a school closer to home, we cannot replicate the enriching Christian experience his is having at MDS.

I have two childern who attend MDS and they LOVE IT!!! My husband and I could not be more satisfied with an elementary school. The teachers feel like extended family and the education is beyond wonderful. My six year old daughter reads everything, its mind blowing! I would recommend MDs to any parent who is seeking a warm, nurturing learning environment for their children.

Metropolitan Day is school is a WONDERFUL school. From the moment that you walk into the school, you can feel the love and warmth of the faculty and students. My daughter is somewhat on the shy side and has opened up a great deal. The educational program and Christian teachings are outstanding. I would highly recommend Metropolitan Day School to everyone.

My daughter attends first grade at MDS. She has surpassed all of my expectations. Metropolitan offers a nurturing environment. You can walk in anytime and feel the warmth and attention given to each and every child. If you are looking for a structured life learning environment where education and religion go hand-in-hand -- this is the place!

I highly recommend this school to any parent who is looking for a secure, challenging, nurturing, Christian environment for their child's elementary education. My two children have been enrolled in this school for four years now and we are extremely pleased with their academic progress. They are both 'A' students who made the honor roll for three years in succession. The teachers and staff are absolutely wonderful and there is a close-knit, family-like environment in this school. The class sizes are small which contribute to the high academic success of this school. I moved my children from another private school where class sizes were very large (average 20-25 students per class and parents felt disconnected with the school. The reverse is true of MDS where the principal and staff know every child and family member by name. We love this school and we guarantee you will too!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
