My Granddaughter relocated from Homestead, FL, and will attend Kindergarten this year, 2012-2013. Hence I sought to learn about my/her community grade school. The findings are confusing and disturbing at best: 1) Davis has a spending per/student above the average. 2) The teacher/pupil ratio is lower than the average. 3) Assisted Education classes are 4% higher than the average. 4) The school rated three of ten stars! These are not favorable distinguishing fact. How can this be? What are the challenges? Is the staff being supported and held accountable for higher standards?
