I'm a student here. The good thing this school can offer are it's teachers, but that's all. We recently cut down to 3 minute passing times, from 4 minutes, and as a result some students are late. Passing time is the time where teachers say we should of gone to the bathroom, but how do we do that without being late? We are not allowed to go to our lockers in between classes. At lunch, we can only have 6 seats a table. Anymore and "it would become harder to escape the Commons in the event of an emergency".

The school is failing in reading and math (42nd percentile I believe) so they're supposed to offer students an alternate school to attend within the district but there are none. Tutoring is available as a result, but only for the low income. The school has recently implemented assigned seating at lunch. I don't know about you, but I would prefer my son to choose his own friends to sit with at lunch. Arne S.

The school is planning on cutting many elective classes for the 2006/2007 school year. Students who are not performing at grade level in Math or Reading will be cut out of elective classes! The principal is making changes without direction from parents, teachers or research based methods to increase reading or math scores. He's making it up as he goes along...He's not playing these games with my kids! I'm moving to Hoquiam!
