We decided to take an opportunity to move to Bellingham after visiting Assumption. Can't say enough about the great curriculum, caring/talented staff, activities and opportunities to participate in our kids' education. We feel it's the best decision we've ever made for them. People think "private" school and assume it's out of their league. It's the equivalent of a monthly car payment and a true value. I'd highly encourage anyone to at least look into it!
I have been a parent at this school since my daughter was in preschool and she is now in Kindergarten. She loves it at Assumption. I love the communication I receive from her teachers and from the staff. I also love the diverse cirriculum that is offered to her from Spanish and Music to PE. She has a very well rounded day. She loves math and has begun to read already. I'm happy that she has an eighth grade partner during mass to help her understand the liturgy and the process when Mom and Dad aren't there to walk her through. There is no other place I would want my little girl to grow up. No bullies. They grow up as friends and as the best versions of what they could be.
Our daughter began attending Assumption Catholic School at age 3. Each year she has had excellent teachers, and has flourished. She graduates 8th grade this year with a solid academic foundation that includes a respect for others, an awareness of the world around her and our need to support one another.
Students are encouraged, and feel comfortable talking to teachers or staff if a problem arises. Due to the basic Student Learning Expectations, bullying is rarely a problem, and is dealt with swiftly once reported,
All parents are encouraged to participate in the school activities and the administration regularly holds meetings keeping parents updated in recent developments and listening to their ideas and concerns.
Assumption Catholic School stresses character development in their students through mandating School-wide Learning Expectations whose goals are to build an environment of joy, compassion and respect for others, healthy pride in self and the quality of work done, and to grow in faith.
I am very pleased with the quality of education my daughter is getting from this outstanding school. It's worth every penny paying for this private school. It's family oriented and encourages families to be active participants of their children's academics and beyond.
