My son has been at BES for two years now, and I've found the teachers he has had, Mrs. Arps and Mr. Dickson, to be caring and proactive. They, along with the counselor, Ms. Owings, have gone above and beyond the call to ensure that my son is able to maximize his time there. The music program is also top-notch; my daughter has been involved with the choir and has had fun learning and singing with the group. I am amazed at what Mr. Coffey is able to coax out of this group.
Great school district, the best of the best as far as teachers and staff. With all the new homes going up and people moving to the Birch Bay/Blaine area, enrollment is up and I predict overcrowding in the classrooms very soon. (already starting).
My daughter has gone to been in the Blaine school district for 5 yrs and I have been very happy with the school system. The teachers are excellent and care about the children. The principal is friendly and is constantly encouraging the children. Every morning starts with the flag salute and words of wisdom which I found to be a very positive tool for children to make the right decisions and that they are important.
