CHOICE Academy
Grateful to: School leader

This "Thanks" page only allows me to choose one, but the entire CHOICE Academy staff deserves to be thanked. I feel as if my child is getting the kind of education they would want their own children to have. It feels as if my student is getting a better educational experience than any private school could have ever provided and far beyond anything any other public school could offer. THANK YOU!

Teacher effectiveness: Very effective

The teachers have been very good at their jobs for a long time. They know how to educate without trying to prove themselves with unnecessary amounts of work or slacking by trying to be buddies to the students. The students are learning the material, not just going through it.

Homework most days, but not requiring the student to pull all night catch up. The teachers have been very good at their jobs for a long time. They know how to educate without trying to prove themselves with unnecessary amounts of work or slacking by trying to be buddies to the students. The staff gives the right amount of work so that the students actually learn the material.

This is a school for the more self-motivated student to begin with. It allows those traits to grow as well as places students who are already determined with like minded others which only increases those tendencies.

CHOICE Academy leads with the fact that the students have to behave themselves in a respectful manner so that other students have a chance to learn. #1 Rule.

Students work together in a tight learning learning environment. The entire grade is in one classroom together throughout the day. They develop a bond and end up working together on multiple projects that develops crossover relationships that might not be possible in a larger/traditional school setting.

CHOICE Academy leads with the fact that the students have to behave themselves in a respectful manner so that other students have a chance to learn. Students let other students learn. Choice Academy is the type of school that produces students that colleges should be placing on the top of their acceptance lists and doing everything they can to recruit because the students are already self motivated, independent learners as they would be in a university setting.

CHOICE Academy is one of the best schools in Washington State. If you have a motivated child who behaves and is focused, it will be a great fit. Students who let other students learn. Students who are in advanced extracurricular activities who want the traditional school experience will get it there. Teachers and Staff that are focused on students learning material and advancing, not just herding cattle through the system. Would be a 10 out of 10 if not for the older facilities, still a 10 for learning. This school proves that the staff, parents and students make a great learning environment, not the bricks and mortar. CHOICE Academy should be a blueprint of how to advance an entire school district forward. It leads with the fact that the students have to behave themselves in a respectful manner so that other students have a chance to learn. If your child is not one to behave and be self motivated or is more into socializing than getting an education, it would not be a good fit at all. Choice Academy is the type of school that produces students that colleges should be placing on the top of their acceptance lists and doing everything they can to recruit because the students are already self motivated, independent learners as they would be in a university setting.

This school has saved my daughter's life! She was a drop out in 9th grade. Because this school works individually with each student my daughter will move on to the 10th grade in only 4 months time. This school is brand new and progressing fast but will always remain a small school as there is only 17 students per advisor and the advisor advances to the next grade with the students. The curriculum is tailored to each individual student so they are excited about what they are learning.
