We have Zebra Pride! Grass Valley Elementary is wonderful school, with a stellar principal, great teachers and staff, a respectful student body, passionate PTA, involved parents and offers outstanding academics, special education & extracurricular activities in a modern, beautiful facility. The teachers, counselors and support staff here are all excellent -- working together as a team and coordinating their curriculum and efforts to look after the welfare and educational growth of all the students. The Principal and staff truly function as a team, with open communications and a shared vision. Principal Erdmann is very involved and a palpable presence at the school -- not just a smiling public face. She actively runs the school she visits classrooms, walks the halls, monitors events she even sat in on our parent-teacher conference! She has real knowledge and understanding of the needs of staff and students, and is a dedicated educator who is respectful and responsive, taking parental concerns seriously. She has provided solutions and followed up and monitored our child's progress. Her conscientious care and passion for her job shine through. We love this school!
