Charles Francis Adams High School is terrific....but the school itself is not doing too well...I have tried to help out to pass the bond for the district itself...but so far that has gone all wrong

My school is Clarksoton High School. Overall I have been impressed with the school. The staff appears to be student oriented and respond quickly to help students with any problems they encounter. I have not been impressed with the Math program however. The teaching in this prgram does not seem adequate. Students should not have to continually look for help elswhere, and learn in 1 day what was taught in 2 weeks, or perhaps the whole program needs to be changed overall to be more efficient.

CHS has been a great representation of our community. The school has consistently produced high quality graduates and my children are excited to attend there in the near future. The school has added a number of AP and college level classes to prepare their students for life after high school. The athletics, activities, and music programs are second to none and the student involvement is extremely high. The staff at the high school is extremely caring of the students and are highly involved in the building. The physical building is in need of an update but that is the communities responsibility at this point. I a proud to live in a community with such a great educational system.

The high school was great for me but if you are not a good student and have problems you will fall through the cracks. The counsolers don't seem to be there for the kids that really need guidance

I have been very happy with the quality of teachers and the atmosphere at the school. My son has chosen to not participate in extracurricular activies event though there are many available and his friends are involved in many, from the music program to various athletic events. I have not been as involved as I could be due to finishing a degree and working full time. I know of many parents who are very involved and I think it's wonderful that parents are encouraged to participate in their children's high school events. There are things that could be improved but overall I would say that CHS is a fairly good school with a strong focus on student success. You get what you give.

There is tons of parent involvement at CHS, that is the reason the activities and athletics are so successful! Everyone grows up together in this smaller community so it has a close-knit atmosphere, everyone knows each other. Academically it is not the toughest, however. There are select teachers who are the best in the world!!

I thought that clarkston high school was not all it is cracked up to be. I was expecting alot better programs and activities. I was very disappionted that there is little or no parent involvement. However I thought that the school itself was very nice and exceptionally clean.

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
