Coupeville Elementary School

At Coupeville Elementary I feel that my kids are getting a safe education. My 2 kids attend there, and they were both born at Whidbey General hospital- about 2 min. from the school. Great friendly place!!

The friendly environment of this school is great, they know names quickly, and make you feel at home. I wish the Kindergarten was a little more challenging. A lot of the work my child had already accomplished in preschool. There are some lower-income families, and it's a smaller school than nearby Oak Harbor. But I like that is has few military, and the kids don't get lost in the shuffle of a larger school. I truly feel that they care about the individual kids, and not numbers or scores.

Love love love this school!The principal, the teachers, and the rest of the staff here are great and really care about the safety and well-being of the children.If they have an issue the principal calls you herself.My children have attended a couple of schools in Oak Harbor and neither of those schools were very good.At Coupeville Elementary the entire staff is wonderful.They make you feel welcome and 'at-home' the minute you step through the doors by actually knowing you by first name and by actually knowing your kids by name also.It's a wonderful feeling!I can't express enough how great this school is.They also offer exciting extracurricular activities for the kids to participate in and family activities on early out days. If I'd have known about this school when we transferred to Whidbey Island 4 years ago my kids would have started here instead of in the Oak Harbor.

I was very happy with the quality teaching done at this school. High standards are expected of these children, and they show them how to achieve these goals daily.
