Marcus Whitman Elementery is an amazing school. It has teachers that love their job and they show that everyday by what they do so their students succeed. They do offer summer school for grades K-6th. It is a great program! During that time they also have a kinder camp, to allow the new kinders coming in to have a week to experience a little bit of what to expect when they start school. I am grateful my children have gone to this school!

I think the school is good but I think they should have summer school for all grades... my child needs extra help in math and reading but this school does not offer that for the lower grades k - 5th.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Washington used the Measurements of Student Progress (MSP) to test students in reading and math in grades 3 through 8, in writing in grades 4 and 7, and in science in grades 5 and 8. The MSP is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Washington. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
