My son is a student at Crescendo, and we are both so very pleased with the school. The yoga and martial arts are my son's favorite classes; however, he does love to play guitar and play drums. The curriculum is really quite full, with cross curricular activities that are incredibly student centered and interactive. My son does not feel threatened or bullied here, as the classes are quite a bit smaller than in public sector. This, to me, is so very important because he is very comfortable and confident in his learning. He is happy to attend school and has a strong admiration for his teachers. I'm incredibly happy to have found this place. We have been to so many schools that do not walk their talk. Crescendo goes above and beyond by always creating new ways to teach and new activities to keep my son engaged. I am truly happy to have found this school. My son is my world, and to know that he is safe, happy and receiving a great education truly helps me to have some piece of mind while he is at school. Highly recommended!

We have been with Crescendo a year now and are really excited at the progress our son has made. At a previous school he seemed overlooked and was not learning at all. After a few weeks here we had noticed a marked difference in his attitude about school and learning. His interest in the music classes are not always there, but he really enjoys the art and reading.

The concept behind this school is great, but that is where it ends. The teachers are disorganized and DO NOT supervise the students well. I was never sure which room my child would be in, because the daily schedule was rarely followed. We also paid for private music lessons but on several occasions, I would find other students partisipating in the "private lesson". This school was a big disappointment.

We feel very fortunate to have found this school. Our son has been enrolled for a year now and is doing very well. We had been recommended Crescendo from a friend, because our son was getting behind at another school. He was struggling and this appeared in his daily behavior towards his old school and learning in general. Frustration seemed to be what we were all dealing with. The biggest difference between the old school and Crescendo, is that the Crescendo teachers were quickly able to pin-point the reason for our sons difficulty, explain to my husband and I what they felt was going on and begin to work with him. The old school simply blamed our son, saying he had learning issues and actually told us to ask our doctor about medication! It took several weeks, but our sons attitude began changing. Less whining and complaining about school and then within about a month, a total change. His confidence grew as well. We feel the music and dance programs that are part of the weekly routine at Crescendo, helped him with both communication and his confidence. This really is an awesome program!

Our child started attending Crescendo School last year. This is our first child and we had never attended preschool before. Result wise, our child has made serious progress. Reading is well underway and the learning environment seems to be reinforced by both the teachers and the children. I get a sense of cooperation or community when it comes to learning at this school. I don t know how other Preschools do in this regard, but I was impressed. The arts are also very much a part of the school curriculum. Drumming is my child s favorite. At the beginning of last year our child would complain about going to school. We didn t know what to think. After talking with several teachers and told many children would rather stay home than go to school, we gave it some time. Eventually our child began to show enthusiasm towards going to school, and has since stopped complaining. My only complaint would have to be about the summer semester. Though we loved the weekly field trips to the beach and zoo, I felt our child could have done with more class room time and less play. Overall this is a very good school.

Our child just graduated from their first year in the Kindergarten program and we are very happy with the school. We feel the smaller class sizes and attention to our child s individual needs really made a difference this year. In the middle of last year we requested a meeting with the head teacher for some issues we were having at home. We didn t feel talked down too or just obligatorily talked at because we were paying tuition. We felt a genuine concern about our child s wellbeing and growth, something we never felt at public school. After the meeting we came to a mutual plan that both the teachers at Crescendo and we at home would implement. This has been working very well and we feel confident that with time the problem will be very manageable. We are continuing with Crescendo through the summer semester and into next year. Because of a potential job related relocation we may not be able to attend the year after that, but feel that our time with this school has been extremely beneficial and has help us in more ways than we can say. We have recommended Crescendo to our friends and would to anyone looking for a alternative private school.

I had the opportunity to observe the teachers, I had a great experience and learning. I am very impressed, the Preschool and Elementary is full of positive energy, great schedules and outstanding curriculum and philosophy. The kids are having a blast learning. I hope to be in the team when I finish my State Teaching Certificate. Sarah.

Our child attended Crescendo Preschool a few years ago in their old location by Burlington Coat Factory. The teachers were excellent and the insight into our child's behavior issues helped immensley. Our child is now in an area public school and doing very well. We feel that Crescendo gave our child the foundation to grow. Highly recommended!

My Son has been at this school for a week and a half only but I had to write a review because I am so impressed. Definitely deserves 5 starts I would like a little more feedback from teachers his previous school gave me feedback daily which I loved. However I know my Son loves it here. They have a very cool program where he can learn the fundamentals as well as arts of all kinds from preforming to painting. When I pick him up and ask him what he learned he tells me a Spanish word or about the guitar. They keep them physically active with dance, hikes, running, light sports, yoga and martial arts. He loves playing instruments so I plan to add the optional private piano and drum classes. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Crescendo is such a wonderful school, we are so happy we found it! Our 3 1/2 year old son recently enrolled in preschool and he is really thriving there. We are already noticing great strides in his social skills, listening, articulating words and ideas, patience and compassion. Not only that, but he is learning piano, drums, art, dance, yoga and even foreign languages! This is a unique program that we are lucky to have in Edmonds. They have expanded their program to include K-6 elementary education covering the same curriculum fundamentals as Edmonds public schools, but with so much more to offer (music, art, foreign language, yoga, etc.). As for cost, it is a private non-profit and the cost is the same or even less than before and after school care programs in the area - and that includes their own before/after care! A great alternative to what is out there!
