This school attempts to actually encourage students to think - which admittedly scares some parents.

Superintendent has instituted many new policies and the difference is astounding. Great morale, test scores climbing, emphasis on academics and athletic teams have won state championships. Remarkably few student crime and vandalism problems.

A great high school. The people of Enumclaw are down to earth, normal folks and their kids are the same. Sports an important aspect of school. Teaching is pretty good as well; I graduated and was well-prepared for college. The school administration does a fine job but takes some issues too seriously. Overall, discipline for major offenses is just fine, however, minor issues such as fan behavior at basketball games are taken as far more problematic than in reality.

As a parent with a child with ADD, I have found Enumclaw High School to be very difficult. My son's freshman, sophomore and junior year was much more enjoyable and he was able to pass all of his classes. His senior year did not go this way. Low assignment and test scores. Principals, and most of the teachers do not return emails or phone calls quickly. As a result, we have recently enrolled in Collins High School in Buckley. Also, this school has divided it's school body with 'schools within the school'. I think it has created havoc, and most kids are not enjoying it.
