Not returning next year. This school is in a downward spiral. Although most of the teachers are wonderful, the policies and leadership are awful. It is obvious the teachers have no voice. The administration is like a dictatorship. There are many other great private schools in the area. Avoid this one.

Christian school in name only--as far as the leadership act. The teachers are warm, caring, and engaged in the students. Sadly, there is no evidence that the administration have relationship with God. They are completely focused on $$ and outward appearances. I would be surprised if the school survives the coming year. Numbers have dropped significantly- and it's obvious why.

My child attends Brooklake and has for the past several years. We are very happy with the school and the staff. It is true as previous reviews have stated, the administration has changed, but I feel they are doing a great job. The teachers and administrators always put the kids first.

As a former parent, I do not recommend this school. Although the teachers are great, business and financial decisions have hurt the school's atmosphere in the last few years, causing many teachers and families to leave the school. If you are looking for a Christian school, enroll elsewhere.

My daughter has been attending this wonderful school for 3 years now. Her teachers are wonderful and she learns so much compared to her peers attending an excellent public school in our area. She is very confident, enjoys going to school and she is very happy going to this school. The teachers care for their students and strive to make certain that their students are learning and thriving. I love the fact that the kids wear uniforms and that they are taught about values. I would recommend this school to parents who would like to send their child to a wonderful school.

My children have attended Brooklake since preschool (they are now in the elementary program). I have been more than pleased with the school, the teachers and staff, the curriculum and the friendships I have made. I highly recommend the school.

I went to Brooklake for over years and years... I just left this past year. I never liked this school, the teachers were mostly alright but most not. The teachers take things way too seriously, and also the principles have not been satisfactory. If one child says something to the teacher they just go and assume that this thing in which the child says is true when maybe it isn't. Then they tell the principle and they talk to you to, even about stuff that isn't even that serious, just harmful stuff. Then they go and talk to the child that has been told on, and say things that are highly rude and not acceptable. Overall i would say I am very happy that I do not attend this school anymore...

My son has been going to Brooklake since preschool and is in second grade now. Teachers have been fabulous, school safety and atmosphere superior. However, in the last year, I know two students that were in the same grade have been taken out of Brooklake and put in public schools. The curriculum at Brooklake is behind the public school teaching of these other two students. I wish they offered accelerated programs like they do in the public school of Browns Point and Green Gables.

I have been going to this school since kindergarten. I'm extremely depressed to know that I'm going to be leaving this year. The students here are so kind and loving. The teachers are amazing and they know how to communicate the concept wiht the child. They take extra time with students if they need help. They have tutored after school or even breaks. The person who wrote the classes are an average of 27 people is wrong . In all my years of being in Brooklake my average class size has been 18-20 students. Plus, the teachers take extra time if you don't get a topic. This is way better than a public school. This is an excellent school to go to. I wish I didn't have to leave. If they had a high school I would stay without thinking twice. You won't regret sending your child here.

I had high hopes when moving my son from a public school to Brooklake, so I guess disappointment was bound to happen. I am more than frusterated, as are the teachers, at the class sizes. I was told at orientation that the class sizes are 14-19, however, apparently they only have two teachers this year and the class sizes often range around 27. The office has assured me that this is 'only at certain times of the day' however, my son and his teacher both claim that the class size is 27 the majority of the day. The 'specialized attention' I was hoping he would receive is not happening.

Wonderful Elementary program and I am sure Middle School will be just as great!

Both of my children have attended this school since Kindergarten and are now in the Middle School program. We, as well as our children, have been very happy with the entire experience. Of course, there have been occassional issues that come up but they have always been dealt with professionally and with an eye to what's best for the children. The administration is professional and qualified and has dealt appropriately when problems have arisen. They offer a variety of extracurricular activities (German, chess, science, crafts, etc). Although the sports program is small it is very successful. We are very sad to have to leave the school after 8th grade!

This is a great school if you're looking for a warm, safe, Christian environment to send your kids. The school is small so it sets an intimate setting and the teachers are completely dedicated to their students and job. It seems to be a bit advanced in academics than its public counterparts but I really don't know by how much. But it is definitely good extension of the home if you want to raise your kids in a Christian environment.

We had our children attend this school for 7 years. We changed private schools in 2004-2005. Most of the teachers are far beyond excellent! Due to bad administration decisions this school is falling apart. Child behavioral problems are ignored, questions are not answered to where is all the money going, etc. etc.

Our child has attended Brooklake since her Kindergarten year. In the fall of '04 she will enter Fourth Grade at Brooklake. The school's administrators and teachers are high caliber. The curriculum is challenging. There are high standards for behaviour and attitude coupled with gentle and fair discipline, when necessary.

Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
