My son attended this school for 3 years. I loved his two years of him being there. After was bullied by a child his third year who legal reasons I can not say anything.I think this school had a horrible excuse for a "bully program" that is suppose to be in order I see it all over the news to protect children. The child is still in the school I have been mistreated by the staff who handled this, and seem like they are uneducated. Who knows how many kids this has happened to. I have to remove child since the bullying was so severe child would get sick in school. I feel like he was swept under the rug.
EVERGREEN IS WERE COOL KIDS ARE....I love this school all my kids have gone here. The teachers are amazing. Even tho it is a big school and there are alot of kids I know my children have had a great time learning.
Great school! The best on post school we have been to! Mrs. Coberly my sons 1st grade teacher was amazing, very patient, and kid friendly. The speech therapist was great with my 3 year old that qualified for school therapy. And The front office staff is the best and is always there with accurate information! And my son wants me to say that the karate offered after school is really fun!
This was my son's first year of school and I was shocked at how little they where learning. I thought it was my own expecations but my son left the school in April and I soon found that he was half a year behind in his new class. His new teacher was very helpful and provided him with extra help to try and catch him up so that when he entered 1st grade he would not be to far behind his classmates. She told us that its not that he's not getting the work, its that he was never taught becasue as soon as you show him once or twice he has it. I would think that being on a military base the school would have a better lesson plan seeing how our children are always moving and need to be ahead of the power curve.
Wow! I guess my husband and I just have high standards when it comes to schools. Although Evergreen looks great to the naked eye, I think that the Disney theme is misleading. We came on Parent's Night before the school year started and Principal was nowhere to be found. The teachers were nowhere to be found. The Principal, Teachers and PTA volunteers should've been standing at the doors greeting families as they entered the building. Let's face it, with mostly Military families attending this school, it has a higher turnover rate. New families had no idea where they were going. We never even saw the Principal or Vice Principal to even see who they were. During recess the kids stay inside and watch a movie if it is even sprinkling outside. This is WA people figure something else out! There should be a gym for them to run around in.
This school is set up very nicely. They make it fun to learn. My sons teacher is great too!
I love this school because of there extreme patience and tolerance. My son has ADHD and has problems on occasion restraining himself, but all the faculty there have been very kind and understanding of it. LOVE them!
My daughter has autism and attends Evergreen Elementary in Fort Lewis, WA. Not only have her teachers and school offered her 100% support and encouragement, but she has moved MILES with their help. I will forever be grateful!
It is a very welcoming school. My daughter just started pre school there and she loves it. It's very clean and they take a lot of pride in the school. The teachers are wonderful and make the children enjoy every day.
Great building! has a disney theme that makes kids want to come to school everyday. It like you in the magic kingdom as soon as you walk in. The teachers are awsome!
