Thank you, St. Nicholas...small, nurturing, and academically challenging. Excellent friendships and memories for our children.
Saint Nicholas is an inspiring and nurturing environment for our children!
St. Nicholas Catholic School is a nurturing and supportive community for its students and their families. Also, my child is in third grade and we, as parents, are beyond pleased with the academic curriculum as well. Technology/Comuputer, Spanish and Music classes are offered together with a rigorous curriculum in the core courses. Academic standards are high and daily homework and frequent projects are the norm. My son's class has 12 students and he is thriving from the individualized attention he receives as a gifted student who is able to work at his level. We are so fortunate to have this calibre of private school in our community!
Saint Nciholas school is great for parents that want their kids to have no social skills. The eighth grade class in the 2008 year has five kids! The middle school all together has 25 kids in it, is that what you call high numbers? For the younger grades the school is great from pre-k to fourth, but after fourth the school goes downhill.
I am a 7th grader at St. Nicholas in Gig Harbor and I think it is great! They have a great cirriculum--I learn something new everyday Extracirricular activities associated with the school include basketball, soccer, beginning and advanced bands. Also, part of the academics include physical education, music, Spanish, and technology. All parents are involved. The parents of the school are always the people who set up school related activities--this year there has been a middle-school dance, middle-school movie day, a decorating-the-courtyard party, all for the students of St. Nicholas. The Parent Community officers have also set up many things for other parents of the school, and staff. Everyone at the school is commited to making St. Nicholas a better school, and I love it there!
It's a great 'small town' school. Established less than 10 years ago, it has been able to build brand new facilities on the parish grounds and has made a mark as wihtin the community. Test scores are very high not only by public school system standards, but also among the highest in the Seattle Archdiaosis.
