My youngest daughter teaches there. My granddaughter goes there. My middle daughter is a school psych there. Much of the land in that area is federal so the tax base is low. They are trying to raise money to build new schools. The old school buildings are sadly in need of replacement. There is a high percentage of Native American kids. All these kids deserve better schools!!

too many problems hinder this school from excelling. Location is a problem and not enough parental involvement. Racial differences should not be such a problem but here it is. I was shocked at how many kids are allowed to interrupt class, teachers would try to offer some kind of order in class, but would not be backed up by the principal or by many of the parents. Funds are highly needed. Programs are holding on by threads. Budgets are be slashed left and right to make ends meet. This school needs serious help. I have to work full time and am not able to be a full time volunteer. They need as many as possible. They also need someone down at the district office that can apply for grants, as many as they can find. The community is waking up slowly but still too much complacency. Our kids DESERVE better.
