I am not a parent but I do work as a substitute teacher at GCD MS from time to time. I have been very impressed with the new principal, Dawn Millard. She is witty and wise, caring and competent. Dawn is decisive yet ensures she hears all sides to a situation before acting.

I grew up in the Coulee City School district. My nieces went to Almira-Coulee-Hartline which is Coulee City consolidated with Almira and Harline and is a very fine district. My children go to Grand Coulee and I have to say is one of the worst school systems I have seen. The Superintendant and the principles and most of the teachers are severely inept in their jobs, not caring about the kids or the education.
