I am very upset with teh school way of handling of the children, my granddaughter goes here. First I should say my brother and sister and I went to Hoquiam all through school as did my children. She was involved in a fight, which she had gone to the counselor the day before and told her that the other girl was bothering her call ing names, etc. Then the next day the other girl jumped her, threw the first punch, my granddaughter of course defended herself, and guess who came out smelling like a rose, the instigator gets 3 days IN SCHOOL suspension, my granddaughter gets 3 days suspension, what in the world is that about??? Then she just gets back to school and two teachers "over hear" PART of a conversation and tell that my granddaughter is threatening someone, when in reality when the other girl was asked she IN FACT DID NOT threaten her they are friends!.....ok now I know kids these days, but they or she in this instance sure does not need teachers taking sides, and making up stories they know nothing about. I am very upset with this and I wish someone could tell me what is wrong with this picture?

Hoquiam School District has gone through major changes in the past 2 years. Last year was a difficult year of transition but things at HMS have improved GREATLY this year! Our new principal is such an encourager for the teachers and the students. He is promoting learning and is intent on improving test scores. The teachers are receptive to his encouragment and have stepped up to raise the bar. It is good to be a HMS Cub parent! Keep up the good work!

Okay, I went here,, && there was NO problems, like the other person said.. Dude, the food was NEVER cold, or leftovers.. and the pizza wasnt old ither.. I should know i worked in the kitchen for community service, they make new food everyday. And the teachers are deffinitly NOT ruuuude! Okay, yea i went there 2 years ago, im a 10th grader at HHS, and the teacheers at HMS are very nice, & the only reason why they would be rude & mean, is if the student was mean first, they only want them to beable to graduate. Don't be dissing on Hoquiam! Its very good, && i would reccomend it.. ITS WAY BETTER THEN ABERDEEN!

I do not like this school. My children who go there are eating left overs, cold food, or old pizza! Also they have to put up with the bad teachers but there is a very good one Mrs. A (great schools don't want us to specify the name but she teaches 8th grade and is in science) who pushes my son every day! Also the super intendant has drove this school in to the ground. Also my daughter (6th) got her year book it was all 8th grade wow I guess that middle school is just 8th!!!But please do NOT send you children to this district!

This is a great school. I am very excited to know that I am a former enrolled student at this school. And I dont believe that the school board should change a thing about this school. Mr.Perry, and Mr. Pelan where the greatest teachers that I have ever had.
