My youngest of 3 is in 5th grade this year and we are sad to be leaving La Center. Most of the teachers we have had have been fantastic in both the elementary and middle schools. The principles are caring and very involved. The PTO puts on many fun activities and raises funds that improve the school every year. Parent volunteers are welcomed and appreciated. We have loved our time here and will miss everyone immensely!

This school is not doing as well as in past years, in my opinion. They keep trying new things at the expense of the children, and do not care what parents think. I have three kids and none of their teachers wanted volunteers in their classes. One teacher in particular made me feel like I was intruding if I walked in the class or met my child for lunch and she was in the 2nd grade! It was a very stressful year for myself as well as my children. I tried switching my daughter to a different class at the beginning of the year, but they refused. I know parents who have pulled their children out for this very reason.

Amazing teachers, a lot of one on one attention and they push the kids to perform at their full potential! Also each kid gets to be student of the month which motivates the kids to do well!

The teachers at the La Center Elementary are great! It's a small town so everyone knows everyone else. Therefore, you get to know the teachers and they know your child. I find them so easy to work with, they have the same goal I do, helping my child get a great education and to meet his full potential.

As a parent of a 4th grade student, I am extrememly pleased with the progress he has made especially in the area of math. Teachers and support staff definitely care about children and their progress toward becoming contributing citizens in the community.
