All three of my kids have gone there and its been great. My last will graduate in a month and we couldn't be happier with how their educations gone. Keep up the good work and 'Go Jacks'!

I have 2 son's at RA Long one of which is in the honors programs & one that is not. The son that is in the honors programs has & excellent math teacher one that really cares how he does in school. As for the other teachers I can not get them to communicate with me unless I tell the counselor or principal that they are not communicating with me & cc the emails to them as well to prove I am having commincation. My son's will be taking other avenues to finish their high school career as with this school they are going no where but down drains.

Our daughters attended R.A. Long High School and were well prepared for university studies. Through a school cultural experience our older daughter spent 14 days with a family in Geneva, Switzerland. Our younger daughter spent 12 days with a family outside of Nice, France. Students must complete a research project on a topic they select at the beginning of their senior year. Community service related to their subject must be completed and an oral summation must be presented to a panel of judges in order to graduate. The senior project is conducted at a level that is what one would expect of first year university students. A great school with excellent results.

I personally attended this school and I really liked it there. The teachers were great and there was a good variety of courses to take and sports to participate in. The school is a community landmark, very historical and in a park setting across from the lake, and it gives one a sense of pride to be a student there. My four years at this high school were some of the best times of my life.

I graduated from R.A.Long High School and was excited when we moved to Longview so my daughter could also graduate from there. My daughter has been challenged academically, which she needs,as she is very smart. I think communication between teachers, and students needs work, and that means the teacher actually need to speak to these 'young adults' with the same respect that they themselves demand.
