my child is in 2nd grade her home room teacher is great ms scott she is very understanding and knows how to keep the kids on task.
By fourth grade my child had not been taught basic multiplication factors because of a 'new' and innovative math program that teaches 'grouping' and arranging rather than math facts. The music program is nearly non-existant. There are one or two teachers who give extra effort and time to help children succeed in reading and writing, however, far to much emphasis is placed on passing the WASL rather than creative freedoms. Overall it is not a school I would reccomend placing a child in, however, the Junior High that they graduate to has an exceptionally excellent music program and terrific science teachers too.
