The physical appearance is not that appealing however the teachers, students and staff make up for that ten fold. I have had 4 kids pass through the school district in 3 differnt small learning communities (which I do not like one bit, but I digress). Of all of them MP has far surpassed the others in academics and staff availability and approachability. The other schools while nicer ecstatically do not measure up in the amount and type of AP classes, languages, electives, clubs and all around academic options. With the other schools not only did we meet with difficulty from the staff but we're put off by their superior attitude, treatment of students as children as opposed to young adults able to make their own decisions and lack of academic options. So while not pleasing to the eye I would not send another child through any other high school in the district other than MP.
