I think the school is great. There is amazing leadership and the staff just continues to get stronger. I think the school does a great job of supporting the Arts (including Drama) and has added a number of AP courses over the last two years. Kudos to MHS

This school is great for AP students, & students involved in sports such as football. It also has a wonderful arts program as well as an outstanding band, though from what I hear from my daughter the choir teachers drop like flies & the administration gives the drama department no help what so ever. My daughter is a drama student & really wants things to improve so other schools & 5th avenue will recognize our talents & not just look at how little we have in the PAC.

I am concerned about the amount of fights and altercations between the students at MHS. Several times the police have been called in to either prevent a planned incident, such as the MLK assembly, or just to keep kids from seriously hurting each other. My son is doing fine with the academic's but I would like to see a more than just a security presence in the school. Setting a standard and sticking to it would go a long way to allowing the students to learn in a safe environment!!

The school is very supportive and has set-up after school help for my son. They even offer teacher lead tutoring on Saturdays! The Principal & staff are open, honest and available.

I have a grand-daughter at Monroe High and she has been in the Monroe School since K. She has always had excellent teachers. There are many activities offered and she participates in many of them. I would rate this school at 4 stars.

I can't believe someone doesn't think the Arts are supported. The school just upgraded the sound system in the Performing Arts Center, brought in an excellent choir teacher, 2 amazing art teachers and have had three consecutive musicals that were great. The Principal supports the arts and all programs that help kids

Our Daughter is new to MHS and I as a parent am pleased so far. The Principle started the school year off with freshman day only and came with school spirit in an Orange tie and great desires for 'his students'. The school has inspirational quotes throughout the school and a lot of great clubs. Go Orange & Black!! Were here for the next 4 years and am confident we will enjoy being an Monroe High School Family!

Monroe High School is the best school ever. Everyone loves it, and the teachers are the best. Classes aren't boring they have educational things but the teachers make it fun. We have the most spirit of any school out there. Our football team has lost almost every game this year, and every friday there we are supporting them in black and orange. On occasion we have more people at away games than the home team has. After school activities are awesome. Everything the school offers I give an A++, except for the closed campus policy. Anyone comming here, its gonna be the best excperience of your life.
