This school has many challenges from the top down. Teacher turnover (50-75% each year), poor behaviors, lack of consistent discipline, and lack of respect are all concerns. As a parent, I would chose a different school when possible.

Oakville Elementary is a small closeknit school providing children with a better oppurtunity for one on one attention from teachers. The teachers and staff are for the most part enthusiastic about there positions and demonstrate this through their positive attitudes. However I would say that a fare amount of children in this district are from households that lack parent involvement not only in their childs academic progress but also in other important areas. This leads to problems in the classroom resulting in lack of focus,discipline actions needed which takes away from time available by the teacher.
