Roosevelt Elementary School

My family move to Port Angeles this summer after spending the last 9yrs in Alaska. Our youngest who is in 2nd grade had been in the same Elementary school that her older brothers had attended, where she knew the staff her whole life. We worried about the transition to not only a new school but a much larger school where she knew no one. But from registration when she was met by the principal and shown around, she (as well as I) was made to feel right at home. We couldn't be happier with her teacher, who not only teaches but truly seems to love what she is doing and each of her students, the office staff who are so helpful and friendly, and the principal who takes the time to know each of the students names and he is so proud of the school and does so much personally for the students. The amount of family involvement amazed us, along with all of the other teachers , staff, parents, students and busdrivers. Our daughter is happy and doing very well.

My children have gone to this school for 3 years now (one year when it was fairview). I have always found the staff to be supportive and helpful. My children enjoy school there, and I am happy to have them going to such a good school.
