Our son had a wonderful time at Chimacum Creek Primary School. Parental involvement is encouraged and classroom disruption is not tolerated. The gym and indoor activities during the rainy season are well thought out and very entertaining. Working closely with two of the teachers, and having talked to the others, I feel very strongly that any student grades K through second will do very well.

There are a few nice teachers at the school, but several I ran into said things to my child that were abusive, innapropriate, or just rude. I do alot of childcare myself and felt that if I spoke that way to my daycare kids I would have them removed. Also the superintendant has made several very strange rules that apply here, which make the school experience for the kids strange, very unfun, and ridiculous. The list of things includes assigned seats at lunch, no talking at lunch, no-class-entry till first bell rings (doesnt allow time for kids to get prepped), lmt daily bathroom breaks, timed removal of recess for ANY infraction, warnings with recess removal for (k-1+) no backpack or ANYTHING, also they do not celebrate any holidays, incl halloween, thanksgiving, christmas, valentines, easter, etc. Also they teach See-n-Say which is outlawed in other states for the longterm reading/writing comp/spell damage.
