Teachers are great but, administration at this school is horrible. We never see them except for at lunch.

My son is in his 2nd year at Aylen. My son's teachers are wonderful, for the most part. So far he hasn't had a mediocre teacher, and they seem caring. In addition, his teachers and his counselor have been responsive to my concerns regarding my son's educational needs. If there was one area that could improve, I would say 'communication'. The district has a great online tool that is available to all teachers, but few use it. I would like to see more teachers at Aylen post information about what our children are learning about in their classes, and what assignments students are to be working on (especially at home). Most junior high kids are not known for their willingness to share this kind of info with parents. This tool can help parents be more supportive of the teachers!
