Home Program

This school is the answer for the involved parent of a child who isn't thriving in the large school setting. My child, who was intellectually advanced, but with special needs, attended the HOME Program for high school. Teachers were caring, gave individualized attention, and worked closely with parents. The college-bound can bridge seamlessly to the Running Start program to complete high school at community college. I can't say enough about the supportiveness of all the staff, and a few teachers who were academically outstanding. K-8 enrichment classes are available for home schoolers, also individual music instruction. Students are respectful of each other and the teachers. Be forewarned: parents MUST be involved, and students should be prepared to miss out on some of the social activities of the larger schools.

This is the best kept secret in the Renton School District! The school provides rigorous high school courses including algebra, language arts, and science taught by credentialed and dedicated teachers within a caring and respectful environment. Courses not offered on site may be taken through an online learning program, at a Renton high school or at a community college through the Running Start program.
