My child has attended Mt. View in for several years. We have seen the decline of the school growth, finances and leadership. Things are not communicated well with the parents, and most all of the teachers do not have a state teaching certificate because it is not required by the school. I was shocked to find out the 1st grade teacher did not have a teaching certificate as this was never mentioned to the parents. This school has some good teachers and the environment is nice, but it is the not the kind of education I expect for the price. We will be making a different choice next year.

My children(3) have been at MVCS for 3 years and we have been very happy there. We have really great teachers who are dedicated to teaching not only the core educational subjects but also biblical foundations that will help guide our young people in the right direction! We are seeing a continual growth in our leadership. We have a very strong and dedicated administration who are helping guide this school in being a higher learning facility. I enjoy being a part of MVCS and will continue my involvement.

My child started school for the first time this year at age 3. I was very diappointed to see her teacher was switched 3 different times in a 3 month timeframe. This affected my child a great deal. Beside that rocky start, she now can go to school without crying. The teachers are very kind and the class size is very small. I believe she is getting a great education at this school. I will put my next child in when he is 3.

With the standards being so high when children start kindergarten, this is a great place to help children learn the basics in a loving environment. My child enrolled in 2 years of preschool and can already read going into kindergarten. I remember the days when all you needed for kindergarten was some crayons and glue. There is so much expected of our young ones, that you would benefit giving them the advantage of learning the basics. This school was great and I will be taking my son here when he is older.

My children just graduated from Mountain View Christian school. They were there for about 8 years. I cannot imagine my children getting a better education anywhere else. The teachers are caring and consistent. Teachings of moral and ethical values are just an 'everyday thing'. And, for a private school they have maintained a moderate tuition. They are academically sound and my children tested way above the national and private school scores and showed improvement every year.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
