The Rochester Midddle School sports are so fun to play. The music department is suffering. The WASL scors are not good at all but the teachers are trying vary hard to get them up.

This school is excellent. I have three boys that have attended Rochester Middle School (one for three years, one for two years, and the other for one year). The teachers, counselor and office staff are wonderful. My experience is that the staff members go out of their way to make sure each child is well taken care of. RMS has a great band program that two of the boys participate in. The school has programs that cater to those who are academically advanced and also to those who need more one-on-one assistance. I highly recommend this school.

One of the best things about this middle school is the staff's pro-active approach to the students. Parents are given progress reports on a weekly or bi-weekly basis; depending on the teacher. The parents are kept up to date on a continual basis on how their child is doing. This leaves time to assist your child BEFORE they've failed a class. The students are held accountable for their grades and are required to take summer school courses to move on to the next grade if they do not pass. The kids are aware of this program and take their school work more seriously. I am quite satisfied with my boys' education at Rochester Middle School. The principal and the assistant principal are outstanding.
