We have been at Roy for 6yrs and I have 2 children there now. The teachers are very genuine. In all the years, we only had 1 teacher I thought that was not as engaged as the others. The teachers truly care and class sizes are small. Bottom line, if you are engaged in your child's learning and excited, this is the school for you.

While I think the teachers' intentions are pure, I don't find that my 1st grader is being challenged enough. Often, she comes home and says she learned nothing. I am sure this is not entirely accurate, but she is bored and is not engaged in the learning process. Also, while talking to some teachers, I have found that they look down on the kids and are quite patronizing. Overall, I think the principal and the staff want to succeed, but they don't want to do anything more than that.

Having come from the Alabama public schools this school has been a blessing. All the staff are wonderful and the teacher is always in touch if needed. The class sizes are small and allow for more attention to individual students. My 4th grade daughter has trived here.
